time=for=yourselfAre you be in a constant state of rushing?

Are you so busy that you hardly find the time to breathe?

Do you try to do too many things at the same time?

Do you feel the weight of the Universe on your shoulders?

Does your work or family take all of your time?

This situation may lead to stress, tension, broken relationships and unhappiness.

Do you remember the times you were a small child, free from responsibilities, work or other engagements? You had all the time in the world just to play or do nothing. Even as a grown up, you deserve some time for yourself.

You deserve some time for yourself every day. You need some time to be alone, to do something you love, or even do nothing. You need a little time to forget your chores, tasks, work and even goals.

With just a little effort you can find the time to be alone, no matter what your life circumstances are. It is strange that people have lost their ability to enjoy being alone. They got used to noise, rush and stress, and find it hard to relax and be by themselves, even for a little while, but this ability can be relearned.

You need to set aside time, preferably everyday, just for yourself. Even 20 minutes a day will do.

Visualize and Achieve Book CoverI have changed yesterday the cover my book Visualize and Achieve. No changes have been made to the contents of the book, just the cover changed to something more descriptive of the subject of the book - creative visualization and the law of attraction.

As with the previous book cover, this new cover too, was designed by my wife Dorina. The book cover shows symbols of material success - money, house, car, key and a happy family at the foreground.

What do you think about the new book cover?

I have read articles about willpower that describe it as a sort of temporary burst or spurt of desire or motivation. I have also found articles that discredit and reject it as a myth or nonsense. I disagree with these description and definitions, because willpower as I know it, is something completely different.

Sometimes, due to anger, dissatisfaction or some other emotion one manifests some degree of willpower, and then he is temporarily capable to do things that ordinarily he does not or cannot do. True willpower is something different. You cannot rely for inner strength on temporary flashes of emotion or motivation. You need something more permanent and reliable, which you can count on in times of need.

This power has nothing to do with clenching your fists, holding your breath and straining your body. It is not a physical power, but an inner power. When well developed, it can turn into a habit, and be manifested whenever required for any length of time.

Willpower is an ability, a skill that can be developed and strengthened like any other skill. It is like learning to speak a foreign language, and then being able to speak it whenever you need it. It is like exercising your body, which then makes you healthier and stronger and able to do things that require physical strength.

Determination is a great asset we all need to better our life. It is the tool we can use to defeat discouragement, laziness and procrastination, and is the companion of persistence, willpower and self disciple. It is the inner strength that keeps us on the track toward our goals.

Quotes on determination

Here are few quotes on determination from various sources:

Decision and determination are the engineer and fireman of our train to opportunity and success.
Burt Lawlor

A failure establishes only this, that our determination to succeed was not strong enough.
John Christian Bovee

If I had to select one quality, one personal characteristic that I regard as being most highly correlated with success, whatever the field, I would pick the trait of persistence. Determination. The will to endure to the end, to get knocked down seventy times and get up off the floor saying, “Here comes number seventy-one!”
Richard M. Devos

Determination and perseverance move the world; thinking that others will do it for you is a sure way to fail.
Marva Collins

We must remember that one determined person can make a significant difference, and that a small group of determined people can change the course of history.
Sonia Johnson

Don’t be afraid to give your best to what seemingly are small jobs. Every time you conquer one it makes you that much stronger. If you do the little jobs well, the big ones will tend to take care of themselves.
Dale Carnegie

Perseverance is the hard work you do after you get tired of doing the hard work you already did.
Newt Gingrich
