A visitor to the website has asked:
“Could you tell me if there are any direct affirmations pertaining to pure awareness?”
Pure awareness is a state of inner peace and happiness, without, or almost without any thoughts. In this state one is fully aware and conscious, but at the same time free from the compulsion of thinking thoughts.
Since this is a state without thoughts and beyond the “ordinary” mind, and affirmations are mental in nature, they are not adequate tools to promote pure awareness.
To experience pure awareness and to live in this state, other means are required, such as concentration exercises and meditation, or in some cases, the help of a spiritual teacher, who himself/herself lives in this state of pure awareness.

Affirmations could help you have inner peace couldn’t they? Or maybe aleast a little reminder to keep you going toward pure awareness.
Affirmations can help acquire some inner peace, but not pure awareness, which require a deep level of inner peace.
Affirmations can help in time of stress and anxiety to calm down and bring some peace.
Affirmations can also program the mind to be more peaceful, if practiced on a regular basis.
If you wish to gain a deeper sense of inner peace, which nothing can disturb, happiness and mastery over the mind you will have to do more than only repeating affirmations. Affirmations help and are a great tool if practiced correctly, but in matters of inner peace they are only one step on the way.
Here are a few affirmations for inner peace:
“Peace and tranquility filling my mind and body.”
“My mind is quiet and obedient to me.”
“My mind is becoming calmer each day, like a calm and waveless lake.”
Exactly. I see affirmations as a helping hand, but not enough on their own accord. As you said, they are mental in nature, so more is needed to shed that mental nature. Still, I think affirmations are a good daily exercise!

I too regard affirmations to be useful tools for mental stability. But they do not provide the tranquility and quieting needed for a truly centered mind. They are, however, helpful tools. Barbara A.
An interesting thought, i guess they could help you build up the willpower and patience needed to achieve the pure awareness.
