Many websites across the net display a donation button, asking people to donate for the website. In most cases it is quite legitimate, understandable and reasonable. When you give free information or free software you make no money, but you spend your time on maintaining the website writing or building and improving software.

A website that displays a donation button usually gives you free information or stuff, requesting nothing in return. It just offers the option of donating, if you found the information or software useful, and only if you wish to donate.

A website costs money to maintain. There are monthly expenses to pay for hosting the website, for the Internet connection, for software required to maintain or improve the website, and there are other fees too. And what about all the time spent on the website, writing, researching and improving?

We all search for free software and free information, and there are many websites that offer free software and information, and that’s great, since not everyone can or is willing to pay for what he or she are seeking, and in this case a donation button might be of some help.

I give a lot of free information at my website, and I like doing so. I know that most websites, not all of them, give just a little information, and then ask you to buy something, which is quite ok. It is so everywhere. You don’t go to the supermarket or the shopping mall and take what you want without paying. If you want something you need to pay for it, and that’s the same with websites.

Some people asked why there is no print button on every page of the website and blog, so that they can print an article they wish to keep or read away from the computer.

It would be a lot of working implementing a print button on every page of the website, and it is unncessary, since you can print the articles by clicking on “file” at the top of the browser, and then on the “print” link. In Internet Explorer you can also print the page by clicking on the print icon at the top of the browser, and then on the “print” link.

The page will be printed without the ads, the graphics and the left and right menus.

You can see how the page would print without printing it, by clicking on “file” in top menu of the browser, and then on “print preview”. In Internet Explorer you can also click on print icon at the top of the browser, and then on “print preview”.

All the pages were designed in such a way that you can print just the article and logo, to save paper and ink.

‘What we commonly think of as constituting the “I” is an idea which changes from year to year. This is the personal “I.” But what we feel most intimately as being always present in all these different ideas of the “I,” that is, the sense of being, of existence, never changes at all. It is this which is our true enduring “I.”‘
- Paul Brunton. An excerpt from The Notebooks of Paul Brunton.

Sit down at a quiet place and think about yourself.
Are you your thoughts and feelings? They always change.
Are you your moods and state of mind? They too change often.
Are you your body?

Now watch your thoughts. They come and go like the waves of the ocean. If you are able to watch them, then you must be apart from them. You are the one watching your thoughts. Then who are you? You are “THIS” that is always here, beyond thoughts and feelings.

If you are able to separate yourself from your thoughts, from your personality, even for a brief moment, you become aware of your true “I”.

Your attitude and thoughts affect you, your life and the people around you. The thoughts that you think most often affect your behavior and expectations, and the manner people treat you. If you worry too much, lack faith in yourself, and often run movies about problems and failure in your mind, you will eventually attract problems and failure, and would make your life difficult. Being negative, you will feel that you do not deserve success, and would therefore not try to improve your life.

I have found an interesting article about sleep, with some interesting and surprising facts, and thought it might interest you.

7 Surprising Facts About Sleep

by Barbara Brody

Can’t sleep? You have plenty of company. About half of all adults experience insomnia on occasion, and 1 in 10 battle insomnia on a regular basis, according to the Cleveland Clinic. If you fall into one of those groups, chances are you’re already following the tried-and-true rules for a good night’s sleep: Don’t have too much caffeine (especially late in the day), don’t exercise late at night, keep your bedroom at a cool, comfortable temperature, and make sure your bed, pillows and linens are comfy. Those are all good tips, but there are lesser-known things you can try to help you get more rest.

1. Set a Bedtime Alert
Most of us already use an alarm to wake up in the morning, but sleep expert Michael Breus, PhD, author of Beauty Sleep: Look Younger, Lose Weight, and Feel Great Through Better Sleep, suggests setting it at night as well. “I tell people to set their alarm for one hour before bedtime, which reminds them to begin what I call the power-down hour,” says Dr. Breus, who is also a spokesman for the Zeo Personal Sleep Coach. He says you should spend the first 20 minutes of that hour taking care of any necessary chores (like walking the dog or making your kids’ lunches), then spend the next 20 minutes on hygiene (washing up, brushing your teeth, etc.), and save the last 20 minutes before bed for relaxation. You don’t necessarily have to meditate, if that doesn’t appeal to you; you can also do deep breathing exercises, read a book or even watch a little TV (as long as it’s not too stimulating).
