The Redesigned Website Has Been Uploaded

I am happy to announce that that I have finally finished redesigning my website, and have uploaded it. I hope and believe that you like it, and would be happy to read your comments and suggestions, which you can write in the comments section below, on this page.

The truth is that I didn’t intend to make such a big change. Actually, I was satisfied with my website as it was, but my wife insisted that I make just some minor changes, like changing the colors and the logo.

One evening I made sample page, and we started making experiments with the colors on the page. After a while my wife mentioned that the links on the left side of the page looked too bold, and asked me to change them, and see how they looked, if they are not typed in bold fonts.

At first I thought it would be a lot of work changing the appearance of all the links on all the pages, but then I asked myself, “Well, if I will have make changes in all the pages, and then upload the whole website, why not make some more changes?”

Making a Major Facelift to the Website

For some time now, my wife has been suggesting that I make some minor changes to the website (not the blog). She suggested I change the colors, the gray and red, to other colors, and also change the header. At first, I refused, since, the website looks okay, but then I agreed to take one page, and do some experiments with it, to see what to change about it.

When I started, one thing led to another, and then I found myself redesigning the whole website, and planning of making a major facelift to it. I have made a major facelift to the website a few years ago, but since than the website has grown and the Internet changed, so it is now a good time to make this change, which, in my opinion, will take the website many steps further.

A Vacation in Berlin, Germany

You might have wondered why I have not posted anything at the blog lately. The reason is that I have been away, on vacation.

I have spent a week in Berlin, Germany, with my wife and kids. We stayed in Abba hotel, at Lietzenburger Street, which is situated just 2 minutes walk from Kurfurstendamm, one of Berlin’s most famous streets, where you can find many shops and malls.

Berlin offers a lot of attractions for tourists, and one week is certainly not enough. There are many historical places, museums, parks, malls, beautiful streets, restaurants and coffee shops. You can find malls and shops in every city in the world, but it looks, as if in Berlin their number is greater, than in any other place. There are more expensive malls like KaDeWe and Galeria Kaufhof, or less expensive, like C&A. You can find in Berlin everything you want. It is a feast for people who love shopping.

It was more than just a trip to Berlin. It was a family vacation. You know how it is with adolescent children nowadays. They are busy with their friends, television, the computer and Facebook, and have no time for their parents. When you travel with them, it is a good time for bonding. They have no choice, but to be with their parents, talk, and spend time with them.

Do You Check Your Junk Email Folder?

Do you check your junk email folder from time to time? If you don’t, then you should, since quite often, important mail goes there.

Sometimes, people keep sending me the same questions or requests, even though I have already emailed my reply. It seems that they don’t receive my emails, and therefore, think that I am not responding. I am sure this has occurred to you more than a few times.

This problem is that sometimes the email message goes to the junk email folder or spam email folder of the receiver. This depends on how the filters on the email software were set. If the spam filter is set on your Internet or email provider, the email message might be removed at this level, and it won’t even arrive in your email account.
