Imagination and Anticipation

One of the main tools for self-improvement, healing and achieving success is the imagination. Though it is intangible, yet, it creates our reality. Though it is a mental tool, yet, it affects our behavior, habits, expectations and actions. I have written about it in the articles Imagination: The Power of Your Inner Vision, and in The Power of Imagination, and in other articles.

Here is an interesting excerpt from the book ‘The Magic of Believing’ by Claude M. Bristol, about how the mind and senses can be affected by the imagination:

Ophiel ( Edward c. Peach )was an occultist and teacher, who taught and wrote about esotericism and the occult during the 1960 – 70’s. His books focus on the practical side of the occult, and are like a precious gold mine of practical information and instructions.

William Walker Atkinson was a prolific writer, who is well known for his books on the power of the mind and using it to achieve success. Though his books were written in the early years of the twentieth century, they are still popular up to this day.

William Walker Atkinson was born in Baltimore, Maryland, on December 5 1862 and passed away on November 22 1932. He was an influential figure in the early days of the New Thought Movement, and for a certain period of time edited a magazine by this name. He was an attorney, publisher, author and occultist. In some of his books he used his name as the author, and in others he used pseudonyms, such as Theron Q. Dumont and Yogi Ramacharaka.

I have become acquainted with the books of William Walker Atkinson many years ago, and have learned a great deal from them. I like his books for their practical approach, clear instructions and for their inspiration and motivation. His language is simple, well understood and to the point. I have read his books many times, each time new truths were revealed, which were not perceived in the previous reading.
