Self Improvement, Spiritual Growth and Economic Conditions

Trees Sunrays

Do you think that only people who have no financial and economic problems have the time for self improvement and for meditation?

Some people do think so.

Do you agree with this line of thinking?

It is possible that this idea arose, because people who are in a better economic condition have more free time, and they want to fill it with some activity, with some hobby. If this is the case, then are they earnest enough or they are just dabbling?

Self improvement, meditation and spiritual growth do not depend on one’s economic condition.

It is true, when you are in a better financial condition it easier to afford buying books and participating in workshops. However, there are many instances of people living in difficult conditions that care about education, about improvement, and about spiritual growth, and therefore, find the means and the time for them.

The truth is that self improvement, meditation and spiritual growth do not depend on one’s economic condition. It is your mind that says they do. It does not want you to make changes and improvements, since it is afraid that this might shake its concepts and beliefs, and endanger its supremacy over you.

Creating Positive changes in Your Life with Energy Psychology

Energy PsychologyWe all want to change things in our lives. I have not met anyone who does not have this desire.

We are all looking for something whether that be a better job, a bigger home, a newer car, the right partner, better or new friends, more money, resolving emotional difficulties, moving forward with our lives in a positive way, overcoming upset, dealing with health problems… the list goes on!

The great thing about where we are in our development as a species is that we are starting to realise that if we have problems and things that we want to change in our lives, we have to fix what is stopping us from being able to create it in the first place.

One of the great phrases that is currently used is “your outer world is a reflection of your inner world”. So in other words, whatever you don’t like “out there” can all be effectively changed by healing the negativity that is within you.

Think About the Tremendous Power of Words

Think about the tremendous power of words:

  • Do you keep telling yourself how difficult life is? If you do, you will always see difficulties everywhere.
  • Do you keep telling yourself how poor you are? If you do, your subconscious mind will always be busy justifying these thoughts.

Change the words and sentences you use, and you will get different results. The way you phrase a sentence will always affect the results, and some results could be quite dramatic.

This applies to words you repeat in your mind, words you say aloud, and words you read.

Different words affect people and differently and cause different reactions. This applies to work interviews, dating, advertising, relationships, conversations and every sort of communication.

Drama Belongs in the Theatre

Drama Bridge Water

‘My life is so hard right now.’ ‘So-and-so did this…’ ‘I’m so worried about that…’ ‘ I’m so busy…’ ‘I’m overwhelmed.’ ‘I’m so tired.’ ‘I’m so… fill in the blank.’

Does this sound familiar? Do you identify with the drama in your life and consider it normal? Be honest. Chances are that you’ve recently uttered one or more of those phrases, or something similar.

The drama played out repeatedly in our daily lives gives us a sense of who we are. Many of us believe that it is a fact of life, when the truth is, it is not even real. Drama is an illusionary state of being, based on our perceptions, which have been shaped over time by our past experiences. It appears real only because we choose to believe it. Drama becomes our reality as a result of what we bring often unconsciously to each situation.

How does drama manifest in your life?

This Year… Make Your Life Better… Every Day!

Better Life

Most people are disappointed for what they have achieved in life within a year. Actually, you can start changing your life for the better this year! It is not really difficult to make and begin the changing. What you just need is to have a plan, execute it, and keep reviewing it to ensure you are on track to achieve your goals.

Here are 7 tips that should help to improve your life:

1. Start at home by sorting out what you want, and don’t want, in your closet, kitchen, refrigerator, garage and garden

Tidy your home! Go to your closet. Take out the old clothes that you never wear in years. Keep what you really want and need to wear in this year or so, and give the rest to charity.

Then go to your living room, windows and kitchen. Start cleaning the floor, vacuum the carpet, clean the window glass or mirror with using glass cleaner. Wash the dishes, mugs and clean your stove, oven and microwave.

Finally, take out all the garbage in the trash can. Do all these a little every day, rather than once a month. Afterward, you will have a much nicer home with clean and much more space every day. Plus you will have the satisfaction of knowing that you are helping the needy.

Will This Year Be Different from the Previous Year?

Magic Fountain

Will this year be different from the previous year?

Maybe it will and maybe it won’t. To a great extent, this depends on you. It depends on how you think and what you do.

Your external life is shaped by your thoughts and by your attitude. The movies, and the images you keep playing in your mind, to a large extent, shape your life, your circumstances, and the situations you go through.

Everyone plays movies in their mind. Often, these are the same movies and images repeated every day, and they are either about your current circumstances, or about problems or “negative expectations”.

If you don’t change the movie and images, and keep looking at them, nothing will never change. The same kind of life will keep repeating itself. You have to change the movies in your head, in order that your life changes.

Do you make New Year resolutions, only to quit them after a week or two?

By making New Year resolutions you start playing a new movie. However, after a week or two, you remove the new CD from the player in your mind, and insert again the old CD, about the same life you had until now. Then, nothing changes, and your life will repeat itself more or less the same the next year, and then the year after.

Creating Changes in Your Life

Creating ChangesBelow, you will find an excerpt from an article, titled “Inner Changes Bring Outer Changes”.

I have written this article a few years ago, but I have revised it today. It is a short article that emphasizes the need for inner changes, in order to create outer changes in your life.

As with most articles on personal development, you need to read the article several times and examine the ideas and thoughts that emerge in your mind.

Often, thinking and analyzing what you read, bring you insight and new ideas, and create changes in the way you see things. Sometimes, what you find between the lines could be of great importance to you, and could bring you the ideas, plans, and motivation to make positive changes in your life.
