Why You Can Be Your Worst Enemy

You Can Be Your Worst Enemy

Do you know who can be your worst enemy in life? It’s not your ex-best friend, ex-boss, ex-lover, or the person you pulled a bad prank on. It’s you.

It’s no brainer and it’s clearly obvious that all of our actions, all the things we do, start out as thoughts first. And where do our thoughts come from? Our mind.

Our mind controls us and this is basically the reason why we always need to grow good and positive thinking in our heads, because one negative thought can ruin our day and probably even our lives.

Case In Point

Think of a past moment when you got angry at someone and after a few minutes you regretted it. Where do you think it all started? In your head, right?

If you have only thought to yourself to be more patient and ignore the bad thought, you would have saved all the trouble and bad times.

Now go back to a moment when you felt so nervous or worried, and were the only person there to give yourself some pep talk. After you have talked to yourself, you felt good, correct?

This just shows that good thoughts can be your best friend and bad thoughts can be your worst enemy. You only have to choose with which thoughts to stick more. Your mind can control that.

Thoughts About Negative Thinking

To persuade and convince you to stop keeping the bad habit of thinking bad thoughts, here are some words of wisdom about it.

“Believing in negative thoughts is the single greatest obstruction to success.” – Charles F. Glassman

“Your mind is a ship; it can sail across the universe as long as you don’t allow negative thoughts to sink it.” – Matshona Dhliwayo

“If a person has ugly thoughts, it begins to show on the face. And when that person has ugly thoughts every day, every week, every year, the face gets uglier and uglier until you can hardly bear to look at it.” – Roald Dahl

“Once you replace negative thoughts with positive ones, you’ll start having positive results.” – Willie Nelson

“Negative thinking definitely attracts negative results” – Norman Vincent Peale

“Do not allow negative thoughts to enter your mind for they are the weeds that strange confidence.” – Bruce Lee

“Consider that not only do negative thoughts and emotions destroy our experience of peace, they also undermine our health.” – Dalai Lama

How To Stop Negative Thoughts

The start of a happy and content life is not entertaining bad thoughts in your mind. Be so happy and focused on your own life and work that people want to be part of it, because nobody wants to be with a toxic person.
