Do you believe that a few affirmations and a few minutes of visualization would attract a lot of money into your bank account?

You certainly have come across programs promising wealth and riches in a short time, with hardly any effort on your part. How real are these programs and promises?

You can make changes in your life and you can attract money with the power of your thoughts and with visualization, but this does not mean that you can achieve everything. Theoretically you can, but practically there are limitations. It is not that the power of thoughts is limited. It is we who impose limitations on our desires and achievements, through our beliefs and through our attitude.

The question is, are you really willing to become a multimillionaire?

  • Are you equipped with all necessary trait characters and abilities?
  • Is there something specific you want to excel in?
  • Are you willing to devote your time and energy to business?
  • Can you run a company?
  • Do you really want to run a company, with all the responsibilities this entails?

Many of you would probably say no, become uncomfortable with these questions or just ignore them. It is one thing to desire to be rich or daydream about it, and another thing to do really work toward achieving wealth and riches. You can be rich if you follow certain mental laws and actions, but you should be willing to invest time and effort where necessary, spend money to gain the necessary information, education or help, and be willing to follow whatever it takes to accomplish your goal. But how many people would be really willing to do so?

It is so sweet to desire wealth and believe that you can get plenty of it with just a few minutes of visualization. Do you know anyone who became rich instantly and without doing anything? Yes, people who inherited large sums of money or people, or people who won the lottery. Well, this can happen, but to how many people?

If you don’t have a rich relative, then how would you be rich, by winning the lottery? Well, that’s a possibility, but if you expect the win the lottery you are limiting your opportunities and chances to be rich.

Will money fall on you from the sky? If you visualize money, and not for just a few moments once and then, you will get it, but it will probably appear in a most natural way, through a new job, promotion, a new idea, success in business etc.

Most people live simple lives, and would just like to improve their life, one step at a time. Few would be able to handle vast riches coming to them overnight. Dream about vast riches if you wish, but be prepared to work for it, mentally first, through visualization and affirmations, and then in real life too. Visualizing your goal would attract opportunities and open doors, but you will have to take advantage of these opportunities.

The power of thoughts, creative visualization and the law of attraction can change your life, but they require that you practice and follow them assiduously. You also need to possess a strong desire to achieve your goal, be practical and alert to recognize the right opportunity or idea, and be willing to act and devote the necessary time and energy take advantage of opportunities and ideas.

When a door opens you need to be able to recognize it, have to courage to enter inside, and be willing to follow where it leads.

They grow like mushrooms, because everyone wants to take part in this “new fashion”.  This puts the readers in a difficult position, not knowing which book to read and which book or article to believe. Not all books are equal and not every book is really useful.

To write a manual or guide on any subject, one should have practical experience with the subject. It is not enough to read a few books and then to consider oneself as an expert. One, who writes a book on medicine or on engineering, has to be qualified to write on this subject. He or she have studied and gained experience, but it is different in the field of “the law of attraction”, where anyone can write a book and try to sell it. 

According to the advertisements, many writers on the subject promise miracles in a short time, and with almost no effort on the part of the reader. Does the law of attraction really work in such a way? Can you really achieve great success, just visualizing a few minutes a day?

Can you say that successful people have achieved their success by just thinking a few minutes a day on what they wanted, and did nothing else? No, they didn’t just visualize 2-3 minutes a day and waited for miracles to happen. They put a lot of time and effort into achieving their success.

If you follow the rules of creative visualization, you can achieve a lot, but you will have to focus your mind on your goal, it must be very important for you, and you should be willing to do whatever is necessary, besides visualization. 

Though many authors promise great success and wealth by following their techniques, not everyone becomes a millionaire, and not everyone wants to be a millionaire. Most people want just a comfortable, happy and healthy life, not unusual success, and that’s okay.

How many really and truly desire to be a tycoon, great businessmen, a president or a prime minister? Most people desire a better home, a better car and some money in the bank. Just a little knowledge about the law of attraction and about creative visualization is not going to change their preferences, desires and goals.

Few people really want all the responsibility, work and effort required to live the life of a tycoon or a businessman.

Money and possessions are important, but so also are happiness, health, inner peace and spiritual awareness.

Anticipation is important when working with the law of attraction, because anticipation works like a magnet, attracting your desire or goal toward you.

What is anticipation?

It is more than hope. It is the certainty and faith that what you desire is going to happen right now, and feeling the pleasure the fulfillment of your desire is going to give you. It is a state of mind of expectancy, of expecting your goal to be accomplished, and seeing no other option than success.

How did you feel during the day, when you had a date in the evening or a party? How did you the week before you went on a vacation. You were in the mood of expectancy and anticipation. You already felt the joy or are going to enjoy.

While visualizing your goal, try to be in a mood of anticipation and expectancy. This will add power to your mental vibrations, making them more magnetic and attractive, and enable you to use the law of attraction more effectively.

One can learn to visualize. Imagination can be developed like any other skill, through appropriate exercises.

Don’t worry if you can’t visualize, because even if you can’t, you can still use the law of attraction. If you know clearly what you want, and you have no doubts about it, and your desire is very strong, you can still attract success into your life, even if visualization is difficult for you. Feelings and desire play an important role in manifestation, not only visualization.

Suppose two people wish to manifest a particular event or object in their life, one just visualize, without any emotion or desire, and without really believing that he can manifest his dream. The other person does not visualize, but he focuses his mind on his desire, and believes and feels strongly that he has already manifested it. Who will eventually achieve his desire? The one who feels and believes.

Actually, the combination of visualization, feelings and desire is recommended, and that is why it is worthwhile to train the faculty of imagination. It can be developed gradually, through various exercises. One such exercise is to look at a small object, such as a spoon, match, or even a fruit for a few minutes, then close the eyes and try to see it mentally. If the mental image is blurred, open your eyes, look at the object for a few seconds, and again close your eyes and try to visualize it.

Don’t get discouraged if you don’t see immediate results. Developing the ability to visualize is not different from learning a new language, learning to drive a car or bodybuilding. Training and developing the ability to visualize takes time.

They also awaken the belief that one can change his/her life and achieve success, yet this is not enough. A beginner might create some minor success, but in order to make real changes and create greater success, more understanding, information and skills are required.

In order to use the law of attraction successfully, you need to know what to do and how, and not every book provides this information. You also need to know about the obstacles you might encounter, both inner and external, and how to deal with them. It is not enough just to feel elated after reading or watching a movie, and though these feelings are important, more is required for success. Too often, inspiration and elation wear out after a while, and then you either feel disappointed, forget about what you have read, or if you still desire to take advantage of the law of attraction, you might not know what to do next.

The law of attraction works everywhere in nature, and also in personal life, but one has to know how to use it correctly. Before achieving any kind of success, you have to be clear about what you want to do or achieve, and you have to acquire the necessary qualifications. It is also useful, especially with big goals, to develop some degree of concentration ability, visualization, perseverance, willpower and self discipline, but very few books speak about this and tell you how to do that.
