Most people can’t deal with knowing someone doesn’t like them. They feel defensive, sad, and sometimes, angry. They don’t understand why that person doesn’t like them, and they will hold on to that feeling for a long time.
Why do people feel the need to hold on to such negative emotions?
It’s because they are not happy with themselves, and they are being called out on it.
When someone doesn’t like you, it’s natural to start thinking of all the reasons why they must not like you.
If you’re the type of person to attack yourself, you’ll immediately look at yourself to criticize everything you don’t like about yourself, no matter if it’s not what that person doesn’t like about you.
If you’re the type of person that likes to point fingers, you may start to find every single thing wrong with the other person. You might also think of all the ways you are better than that person that doesn’t like you. You just can’t feel less than the person that doesn’t like you, because then that person is right.
