Why Visualization Can Help You Change Your Life

By Remez Sasson

If you have read the articles at this website, you would have found that there are many articles on visualization, and on how to use it to improve your life.

How can visualization improve your life? How can imagination make changes in your life? Let’s explore this fascinating subject.

Visualization is a sort of mental programming. You project mental images on the screen of the mind, and in time, shorter or longer, the subconscious mind accepts the mental images, and you start thinking and acting in accordance with these images. This is why it is important to visualize only what you really want, and only things that can improve your life, and which do not hurt others.

What actually happens when you visualize? The mental image is projected on the subconscious mind over and again, and eventually you begin to see the outside world through the mental image in your mind, and you start acting in accordance with this image. It is like a rehearsal that you do in your mind, which eventually changes your outlook, actions, and habits.

When something occupies your mind, be it something positive or something negative, you talk about it, expect it, and see it happening, and this is an important step toward the realization of any goal.

How to Develop Mental Endurance and Strength

By Remez Sasson

We all face various challenges each day, at home, at work, at the store and on the street. Many of them are just minor challenges, with which we deal automatically and easily, but some of them require strategy, thinking and mental endurance.

You need mental endurance if you work in a congenial environment, or have a demanding boss. You also need mental endurance when dealing with your teenagers, taking care of elderly parents, or when you do business with difficult people.

As we undergo changes of our life, we must learn to build mental endurance on a daily basis. Mental endurance does not mean passivity or suffering; it means mental strength. It is the ability to exercise inner strength, and the ability to deal effectively with all challenges. This require some willpower, self-discipline, and the ability to persevere with what you are doing.

We must learn to keep our mind focused upon what we are doing, and not let ourselves be mentally distracted. We should also not give in to unreasonable or unjust demands from the people we are dealing with. We must learn to stay on the road to our goals, no matter how tough the going is.

When we build mental endurance, we teach ourselves to never quit. Our mental endurance keeps us going, even when our body is tired or wants to quit. Our inner strength can keep us going, irrespective of the difficulties and challenges we face.

How to Keep Your Mind From Wandering

By Remez Sasson

Keep Your Mind From WanderingIt is a habit of the mind to wander. What happens when you sit quietly for a few minutes trying to think about something, or just sit down to relax? Next time you do this, try to watch your mind, and you will discover that it flits around like a butterfly, going from one thought to another.

The mind keeps thinking, worrying, asking questions, answering, giving excuses, telling stories, imagining, creating problems and solving them.

This happens not only while you sit down to relax, but also while working, driving, cooking, eating or doing anything else. This non-stop activity weakens your ability to focus your mind, and as well as interferes with your ability to deal effectively with what you are doing at each moment of the day.

A wandering mind can prevent you from falling asleep, finishing your tasks and work, and completing what you are doing. It also wastes your time and energy, and can be tiring sometimes.

Some people would tell you that if you perform more than one task at a time, you will save time and get more done. This might be true at times, when carrying out automatic tasks that do not require your or attention, but you will get done, and more accurately and efficiently, if you focus on just one thing at a time.

How many times have you tried to do several things at the same time, but ended doing mistakes and then having to correct them? When you focus on one task at a time, you do it more efficiently, easily and quickly. Paying your undivided attention to one subject is a sort of meditation, and this action teaches your mind obedience and discipline. When your mind is obedient and disciplined, it stops wandering, and you are more at peace.

Inner Peace Brings Inner Joy

By Remez Sasson

Are you afraid of inner peace? This might seem a strange question, but since few really know what inner peace is, and people fear the unknown, this is not a strange question at all.

Do you think that if you attain inner peace your life would become boring, especially if you love thrill and action? No, your life won’t become boring. Inner peace is not a passive condition, and does not require non-action and no activity. You can live a life full of activity, interact with people, have fun, travel, work, and do things, while at the same time experiencing inner peace. True inner peace is not dependent on external conditions or situations, and is a healthy and much desired condition. Actually, inner peace will fill your life with inner joy and happiness.

What is inner peace?

It is a state of mental and emotional calmness and equanimity, in which the incessant chatter of the mind stops or almost stops. When the mind gets quiet, a great sense of happiness arises, independent of external conditions. You don’t experience inner peace only while meditating or in condition of trance, but while you are fully awake and active. Actually, your five senses and mind become even sharper.

Some people don’t believe that this state can be attained. How do they know? Have they tried?

Why be afraid of inner peace? You don’t have to live in an ashram or in a cave. You can go on living your life, but with a new and different inner condition and attitude.

You can learn to live within inner peace here and now, even if there is much noise and activity in your life. Are you willing to make the necessary effort?

Do You Need All Your Thoughts?

By Remez Sasson

- Are you aware of the thoughts that pass through your mind?

- Do you remember what you thought a few minutes ago?

- Do you know how many thoughts pass through your mind in 24 hours?

- Do all your thoughts originate in your mind? Are they your own thoughts or other people’s thoughts that you think are your own thoughts?

Thinking is very useful in every area of life, but people go too far with it. It has turned into some sort of slavery. Instead of thinking about what you want, when you want, you think all the time, every hour of the day. Every word you hear, everything you see brings thoughts to your mind. The mind is always busy, most of the time thinking meaningless thoughts as a reaction to external stimulus.

People have lost the ability to stop thinking when they don’t need to. Thoughts come and go whenever they want, distracting the attention, spoiling concentration, and keeping the mind in a state of endless mental activity. It is like a machine that is never switched off.

Many of these thoughts are negative, causing anxiety and worries, wasting one’s time and energy.

Instead of using thoughts to help in your affairs, you are being used by thoughts. They take your time and they take your energy, without giving you anything in return. They constantly produce noise in your mind, preventing you from experiencing real inner peace.

Are you able to stop thinking negative thoughts? Are you able to stop all those thoughts that keep moving your attention from one thing to another? Do you keep worrying, and do you expect the worst? Does your mind keep busy with what someone said about you, and do you keep thinking how life is bad for you, because someone at work got promoted, and you were not?
