Your Thoughts Create Your Reality

By Remez Sasson

The thoughts you think most often create your reality.

For every external effect there is an inner cause: Your thoughts. In other words, the conditions and circumstances of your life are as a result of your thoughts and beliefs. How can you utilize this law of nature? By being conscious of your thoughts, avoiding the negative and pursuing the positive, and also by using the laws of creative visualization, or using today’s term for this not new technique, the law of attraction.

Creative visualization is a mental technique that uses the powers of the mind and the imagination to create what we want in our life. With the help of this technique we can shape our life, character and circumstances, and attract opportunities, people and the things we desire.

This technique is similar to daydreaming. In both of them we create imaginary mental scenarios of events and situations, just like a movie, but with the difference that with creative visualization we use certain rules and techniques that enable us to create these mental scenarios and events as reality in our life. Through this techniques your thoughts can create your reality.

The thoughts we most often think create the circumstances and events of our life. When you become familiar with the mental laws of success, and learn how to visualize what you really want, you will then be able to improve your life and create success. You become the conscious creator of your life.

Your True I

‘What we commonly think of as constituting the “I” is an idea which changes from year to year. This is the personal “I.” But what we feel most intimately as being always present in all these different ideas of the “I,” that is, the sense of being, of existence, never changes at all. It is this which is our true enduring “I.”‘
- Paul Brunton. An excerpt from The Notebooks of Paul Brunton.

Sit down at a quiet place and think about yourself.
Are you your thoughts and feelings? They always change.
Are you your moods and state of mind? They too change often.
Are you your body?

Now watch your thoughts. They come and go like the waves of the ocean. If you are able to watch them, then you must be apart from them. You are the one watching your thoughts. Then who are you? You are “THIS” that is always here, beyond thoughts and feelings.

If you are able to separate yourself from your thoughts, from your personality, even for a brief moment, you become aware of your true “I”.

Do You Need All Your Thoughts?

By Remez Sasson

- Are you aware of the thoughts that pass through your mind?

- Do you remember what you thought a few minutes ago?

- Do you know how many thoughts pass through your mind in 24 hours?

- Do all your thoughts originate in your mind? Are they your own thoughts or other people’s thoughts that you think are your own thoughts?

Thinking is very useful in every area of life, but people go too far with it. It has turned into some sort of slavery. Instead of thinking about what you want, when you want, you think all the time, every hour of the day. Every word you hear, everything you see brings thoughts to your mind. The mind is always busy, most of the time thinking meaningless thoughts as a reaction to external stimulus.

People have lost the ability to stop thinking when they don’t need to. Thoughts come and go whenever they want, distracting the attention, spoiling concentration, and keeping the mind in a state of endless mental activity. It is like a machine that is never switched off.

Many of these thoughts are negative, causing anxiety and worries, wasting one’s time and energy.

Instead of using thoughts to help in your affairs, you are being used by thoughts. They take your time and they take your energy, without giving you anything in return. They constantly produce noise in your mind, preventing you from experiencing real inner peace.

Are you able to stop thinking negative thoughts? Are you able to stop all those thoughts that keep moving your attention from one thing to another? Do you keep worrying, and do you expect the worst? Does your mind keep busy with what someone said about you, and do you keep thinking how life is bad for you, because someone at work got promoted, and you were not?

Do you sometimes feel unhappy, or even depressed, when coming in contact with certain people? Do you sometimes feel exhausted, as if your energy is gone? Do negative thoughts enter your mind for no reason? One of the reasons for this things happening is because you are affected by the negative mental and emotional vibrations transmitted from the minds of negative people.

At other times, you might feel elated, happy and inspired or experience inner peace. This also might be the influence of someone’s vibrations.

The stronger you are, the more control you have over your mind, and the more peaceful you are, the less other people will be able to affect you.

Observing Your Thoughts and Discovering the Real You

By Remez Sasson

- What happens if you observe your thoughts?

- What happens if you ask yourself where do your thoughts come from?

- Who is thinking all these thoughts?

- Are you your thoughts, or are they something that occur to you?

- Do your thoughts belong to you, or do they just pass through your mind?

If you keep asking yourself these questions, in time, you will discover that you, the Real You, is not your thoughts and is not dependent on your thoughts. By trying to observe your thoughts, with a bit of detachment, you will develop calmness, inner peace and silence, and the ability to look inside, beneath your thoughts and the ego-personality. This sometimes leads to awareness and knowledge of the Real Self – the Spirit.

Concentration exercises and meditation, can also lead to the same experience. They too, calm down the mind, which is always busy with thoughts, and lift the veil of thoughts hiding the Consciousness within – the Real Self.
