Hi all!

I've been visiting the main website Success Consciousness a million times but only now decided to register to the forum because I want to get talking about Positive way of life and share my experiences etc and hear other people's opinions and experiences.

So anyway, I own three of Mr. Sasson's books and one of them is Visualize and Achieve. It was the first book that I read about visualization and I think that the method as well as the book are incredible. I haven't been visualizing properly that long but maybe because all my goals are very clear to me, the law of attraction has been working well for the past few days that I've been affirming and visualizing in the proper way. So many great things have happened to me that it's almost hard to believe.

I can start from very small things such as my iPod. I forgot to charge its battery the other day and I only noticed this when I was already waiting for a bus to pick me up and take me downtown. I always have my iPod with me and love listening to music especially when travelling by bus. At first I was bummed because there was so little battery left and just like every other time when I had forgotten to charge the battery, I thought "Great... now I won't get to listen to music during the bus ride because the iPod will shut down sooner or later..." that always really annoys me and it has happened everytime. This time however, because I had just read about affirmations and visualization, I remembered what I had learned and quickly replaced my negative thought with a more positive one: "My iPod will not shut down. I will have enough battery for this bus ride and even some battery left for the bus ride back home and I'll get to listen to my favourite artists and enjoy my rides. My iPod will shut down when I arrive home." and at the same time as I was thinking about the positive thought, I visualized the iPod shutting down when I arrive back home when it doesn't really matter anymore. Well, it was the first time that the battery just seemed to last and last and last. Maybe because I didn't browse the song selection as much as I usually do and switch songs all the time, which saved me enough battery to last both my bus rides and even when I arrived home, there was still some battery left. It's a silly little story but the affirming and visualizing effected my behaviour and I got to enjoy my music which I was very happy about.
Another experience: The day before yesterday something amazing happened. I'm a semiprofessional singer/songwriter and ever since I was a kid, it's been my dream to become a professional singer and get a record deal. I've been taking singing lessons since I was 13 when I got seriously interested in singing and I've always worked hard for my voice as well as my songwriting and I've always dared to dream big. After reading about positive thinking, affirmations and visualization, I've become even more focused with my training and my goals etc. I now have the mental tools to make this dream come true, I know it in my heart.

I used to doubt my abilities all the time and compare myself to other singers and I would question my chances (luckily I never quit though). I didn't realize that the only thing that was stopping me was my attitude! Anyway, so after I had done some reading on Mr. Sasson's books and made notes, I wrote down a nice affirmation that clearly states what I want: "The record deal of my dreams is waiting for me and it will launch my very succesful career as a singer/songwriter and a performing artist." and then I started visualizing myself signing a record deal with one of the biggest record companies around, such as EMI, Sony or Warner and I added a lot of positive emotion and feelings into the mental image, so much so that I started smiling and laughing out loud! (I've even broke down crying a few times - happy tears - while visualizing because it's very emotional). So I kept visualizing this mental image with emotion and faith. The day before yesterday, only a few days after I had even made up the affirmation and had the new, more clear mental image of my goal, my mom came up to me and said that she happened to notice an ad in a newspaper about a music business course. Great, I thought, maybe it'd be something I'd be interested in. I got the newspaper in my hands and found the ad she was talking about. When I read what it said I almost fainted. It said what the course is about of course and listed some of the names of the teachers who are all people from the industry. The thing that shocked me was that one of them works for Warner Music! The ad had his name on it and next to it read Warner Music. Pretty much anyone can attend the course (which is another amazing thing because usually you have to have a degree or something and I don't get in because of that), so of course I'm taking this course to not only learn about the business but also to give my demo to the guy who works for Warner which is a huge deal because not everyone gets to go to the head of the record company and give them their demo! Clearly, this was not a coincidence. I just didn't expect something like this to happen so quickly and because there's no doubt that this is an amazing opportunity for me which I will only gain from even if I don't get a deal. Anyway, my point is that the methods really work. This opportunity came my way very quickly because I affirmed and visualized with a lot of faith and emotion.
Wow! Those are some excellent examples. Smile Thank you for sharing...

I too got really excited about the law of attraction/the power of visualization and conducted an experiment to manifest around 15 of my desires in 50 days using the law of attraction. Smile One day for instance I imagined "attracting" new pajamas out of thin air and the very next day I found the exact pajamas I had imagined in a street market outside my house! On another day, I imagined savouring a bowl of Maggi noodles and two days later my colleague at work came to my seat and offered me Maggi noodles to eat! So yes, now I too have become a staunch believer in the power of visualization though I haven't yet used the method to manifest "bigger" things like say a million dollars. Wink

I've written about the pajama manifestation here by the way: http://www.personal-development-is-fun.c...sting.html
Hi Lindy, that was a moving story and thank you for sharing it. Your story clearly shows the power of visualizatoion when expressed with emotion and unshakeable belief. Well done
Yup, it works for everyone.....
Vizualisation is the first step towards success. Great going Lindy....Smile
Thank you Lindy, for sharing your experiences about visualization. I am happy that you found my book Visualize and Achieve to be useful.
Hi

I've been attempting to use visualization as part of a strategy to overcome limiting beliefs about money and financial freedom, but because I'm not interested in status symbols like the usual car/house etc and basically just want to be free from an uncertain financial future and be free to travel where and when I want, I'm finding it difficult to visualize myself as anything much different from what I am now. I mean I can't visualize myself in countries I've never been to and I've been advised or read somewhere that simply visualizing my bank statements with the req'd amount on them or just cash itself is'nt sufficient. The thing seems to be that you need to be in the picture somewhere, so how exactly do you visualize yourself as being financially free if financial freedom is more of a state of mind, just being able to travel and possibly live somewhere else, rather than the ability to buy houses, cars etc?
Visualization must be partnered with a strong belief in yourself and your ability to get what you want. It won't work if you doubts. Acquiring visualization skill
takes time, it doesn't happen overnight. Also, you should also visualize yourself doing the work needed to get what you desire. I don't believe that something will just fall in your lap because you visualize it. There has to be some effort.
What visualization does is to inspire us, so that we are driven to act.
Visualization sure does work! Great Story's! Thank you so much for sharing

Hi There! Are you able to imagine how you will feel once you have financial and time freedom? Will you feel happy, peaceful, content, joyful, confident...? Spend some time with this and take note of how you feel when you visualize yourself having reached your goal.

As for imagining yourself in countries or places around the world that you've never been to before have you tried looking at a picture of a particular destination or maybe checking youtube for descriptive videos about a particular place? You first have to decide where you want to visit. It sounds like maybe you don't have a clearly defined destination(s) in mind and this could be holding you back and causing some of your frustration. Once you have decided on a place, hold that picture in your hands (or watch the video) as often as possible. Visualize yourself being in the exact location of the image. Imagine how the air will feel, how warm the sun is on your skin, the scents in the air, the sounds of the people or nature, how the ground feels under your feet, etc. Really try to lose yourself in the image you have created.

None of us knows exactly how our dreams and goals will feel. If we did know, then they would have had to have manifested for us already. Its up to us to use our imagination and create it just the way we want it. Then we take all the action we can, in confidence and faith, and see how well we were able to create. And then we create some more stuff.

Did that help you at all?
Amazing stories of life.
I was glad visualization really worked on you to keep you on your dreams. You see things the way they should be.

Thanks a lot for sharing your experiences, it will be a big help for everyone.
I'm interested in the Law of attraction too, thank you Lindy for sharing your story and I get a key point that you must imagine that clearly, with entire emotion and full confidence. Thank you!
Visualization is a fantastic tool, however it will work only if you manage to maintain a positive attitude and world-view.
Thx for sharing your story.
Hello,
