In my opinion they are distinct. Becoming financially free is about earning enough passive income to pay for your desired lifestyle. Passive income vehicles include vending machines, rental property, car washes, systemized businessess, automated internet marketing systems, etc. Things that produce revenue with very little or no maintenance. I'd suggest becoming financially free as soon as possible and then get as rich as you like as a bonus. Also reccommend having number goals. Exactly how much do you need per month to pay for your expenses and/or desired lifestyle. Food for thought.

I know there was a blogger--actually, there are many--who suggested you actually take a catalogue of how much money you absolutely need each month in order to live comfortably. It's not a tactic I disagree with, really.

I used to feel like I needed money to buy overpriced nicknacks, but I realize now that even if I became a millionaire, I would still feel cheated if I bought them! Haha. All the money in the world isn't enough to make spending empty dollars wise.

I don't want to be rich I want to be financially free....

I choose financial freedom. It gives me no stress and no worries.

Financial strength gives internal strength some times.
