Medical school motivation?
Hi guys,
I'm new to these forums. And have a question about becoming motivated.
I'm a first year medical student who really wants to help people. Yet, I'm not that motivated to study super hard. For instance, I do well in all my classes in a couple I'm doing quite well. But, I'm not motivated to really push myself to go above and beyond. And, I'm just kind of happy getting through. There's this video on youtube called "how bad do you want it" here's the link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7X38PCf7kao
It's about a guy who works super hard to get what he wants
And I wonder what it's going to take me to become that motivated? I do enjoy the field of medicine and I don't want to be a mediocre doctor. It's just I don't feel like my heart is hundred percent there and I want to see if you guy's could give me advice about how you personally were able to commit to something and put a lot of effort forth. Where'd you find the motivation and drive to keep going everyday? Your advice is much appreciated.
