Positive Thinking vs Power Thinking
The difference in my opinion is that positive thinking kind of glosses over the fact of your reality while power thinking acknowledges that there is always a positive and negative to everything and that we simply choose to focus and ensentuate the positive because it supports us and helps to attract more good. Any thoughts?

RE: Positive Thinking vs Power Thinking
Scientists have now taken us into the world of quantum and smaller. the basis of all life/thought/energy and matter-(last time i checked, everything was either energy or matter) that is made from "light". so if all of life are light waves resonating at varying frequencies, and light is a wave that is equally positive and negative in its wave form. then there is no such thing as positive thinking, only thinking. when we see one side of any two-sided events (they all are) people, place or thing, we polarize ourselves.

there are great items here that suggest focus and i love your term Jessica, power. since we all have a unique value system and of the 8 or so areas of life that we have, the top one or two values almost make us slaves to them, (what is most important to least important) and it also appears from a very distant place, there is purpose in that.

i remember one day when i chatting with my business partner about my wife and the fact she complains a LOT, and i must be her "balance" as i "never" do. he instantly called me out-"yes you do".........okay, i can't wait for this punchline i'm thinking. he suggests that since we are all humans, and we all have the 2,620 "main" personality traits, complaining being one of them, that she is simply expressing her complaints, while i was repressing mine-he said, "you complain silently".

hope i didn't give too many thoughts! Dr. Mike

RE: Positive Thinking vs Power Thinking
If you have positive thinking is having thought of things that will always turn out right in the end and power thinking thought of both positive and negative as an outcome and would try to correct it if it turns out negative.

Dr Mike

I got a bit lost - duh - reading the first part of your reply there. IMHO surely there's a clearly, or at least fairly clearly, defined difference between positive and negative thinking.

Wouldn't you have to agree that if a person habitually thinks negatively, ie always or frequently worried/anxious/angry about health, money, relationships, the world or whatever then that person is more likely to find themselves unable to deal constructively with their problem(s), whereas a positive minded person would look at and react to exactly the same problem or issue but in a completely different light, or perspective, and therefore be much more likely to be able to find a positive solution to it?
