Affirmations work but it depends on you! If you belief what your saying they work. If you are thinking that it's "bullshit" while you are saying the affirmation it will never work.

Affirmations need to be personal, positive, and backed by an intense amount of emotion. You really need to feel, see, and believe what your saying.

I am not really certain as to what affirmation really pertains to. But, thanks a lot for this wonderful and helpful piece of what it means. It did helped me a lot.

Affirmations work, you just have to focus on repetition. Just like old and outdated beliefs have come into your life you must be willing to change your life through powerful affirmations, but don't put a time limit on it. Just allow yourself to say affirmations every single day and allow affirmations to manifest into new beliefs in your life.

Hi.

I'm new here, but so far, this looks like a really cool forum. I believe in affirmations, but there are some things that you have to know about affirmations in order for them to work. First of all, the affirmations have to be in the positive. The universe only hears positives, so if you say 'Don't forget your lunch', what your subconscious hears is 'forget your lunch'. So instead, say 'Remember your lunch'.

The other thing is that your subconscious is smart. It will only believe things that are reasonable, which is why hypnosis only works to a certain extent without chemical assistance. So, when you create an affirmation, add 'a little more each day' to the affirmation. By adding that, your subconscious will say "....hmmmm...... maybe."
