Repeating affirmations
How many times does one have to repeat affirmations? For instance, say I want to materialize $10,000 this month. I affirm: "The universe if abundant and there is enough for all. I am now receiving $10,000 from the universe." How many times should I repeat this per day?

RE: Repeating affirmations
Hi teentrickster,

The more you repeat it several times a day, the better.

YOu can also repeat them every waking moment and before you go to sleep.

But in the middle of these, you can repeat your affirmations anytime you want, when you drive your car, wiating for a friend, cooking, etc.

Hi teentrickster,

I do agree with Rickdizz; how long is a piece of string? What affirmations do very well for us is to begin to create or program good feeling thoughts in our subconscious mind and ultimately let resistance (negative thoughts and feelings) to melt away and put ourselves in a constant state of allowing - i.e. allow the flow of the things we desire into our lives. So sing, dance, repeat your affirmations everywhere, anywhere and any time to raise your vibration and maintain good feeling thoughts.

For example, as soon as any resistance you may have melts away, your subconscious mind will begin to create and help you to see opportunities and connections that will enable you to earn your $10,000 per month.

RE: Repeating affirmations
Remember the purpose of an affirmation... It is to make a statement you are telling yourself a belief. Simply repeating a string of words over and over will bring nothing into your life... But when you repeat a statement backed by emotion and belief over and over until its just a part of your belief system... well that is when you reap the benefit. Sounds like your affirmation is a goal... earning 10k... you might want to write that one down... repeating before you go to bed and upon rising is important.. besides that.... as often as you have time... remind yourself often of your goals.. i like keeping my goals on an index card and carrying them with me through the day.. then whenever i reach into my purse i'll pick out the card and read my goals..

What you're doing is manifesting a goal, which is different from affirmations.

RE: Repeating affirmations
I would be conscious though, of affirming what you need the $10k for, rather than just asking for the money. I find that when people just affirm money, then the money comes and some sort of emergency emerges, which takes (coincidentally) almost the exact amount of money that they wanted.

Instead, affirm that you can get or take care of whatever it is you need the money for. And say it whenever you want.

Again though, I'd stress the importance of making sure you affirm something that's 'a little more each day' or 'a little at a time'. If you are affirming something that you know in your deepest heart of hearts isn't true, then it won't happen. You have to give yourself some wiggle room. A smart part of the affirmation that you can get yourself to believe.

RE: Repeating affirmations
Continue using your affirmations. The more you affirm something, the more firmly your mind will accept it. If you are trying to accomplish a short-term goal, use your affirmations until you have accomplished it. If you simply want to use affirmations as a counter-script, use each one as long as you like. Watch & listen to pre made affirmation mini movies, play them in your car everyday on the way to work, before you go to sleep and as soon as wake.
