soul searching place
Where is the best place to go on a soul searching moment?

I'm planning to do some soul searching on my own this season and I wonder do you have any ideas please?

Thanks

RE: soul searching place
Well there are so many places to find peace but first you should discover that spiritual spirit within yourself. There are many good places in India as I have heard where you can go and practice to make your soul more peaceful.

In reality, you do not have to go any where physically in order to do soul-searching. You can travel within yourself to do this. You can start by first silencing your mind through meditation.

Those who have responded before me have the right of it: you don't necessarily have to go anywhere to do some soul searching. Begin within yourself. Meditation does help, I think.

However, I have found that having a special place designated for soul searching is beneficial in helping me to be disciplined in my efforts. The place I most like to go is isolated. It is in the midst of 800+ acres of farmland/woodlands. There lives an old, old cedar tree whose limbs are long and drooping, almost touching the ground. It is a wonderful climbing tree. In its limbs, where no noises but those of nature can assuage me, I listen, pray, and feel the wind in my face, and the sway of the branches in my feet. After many visits, that tree feels like an old friend. (I know, I'm personifying.)

Obviously, you cannot literally come to visit this tree (which my son has named "Far"). But I can recommend that you find one of your own, preferably one that is somewhat isolated from the everyday hubbub, and yet is close enough for continual, constant visits.

It works for me.
