RE: visualization
Hi,
I read "The Secret" and "The Law of Attraction" about one year ago! I tried to visualize the way I wanted my life to be, with moderate success. But: coincidential (or maybe not) I was introduced to a coach, Q Moayad - The Naked Healer. I did not know him or had any idea what he is doing, but as we talked, he told me that he is working with this energy described in both books. We met again a few times and he gave me advice how to visualize. This was in September. He started to publish an ezine on you tube meanwhile and I followed his exercises. Nothing happened until about six weeks ago, than suddenly many good things happened one by one! I had good ideas that will bring me closer to my goal, than I met the right people who will help me, I found the right location for my business, I found free lectures which are very helpful and so on!
So I believe, that the Law of Attraction is working, although it might take some time, but the most important thing is not to give up! Someone said, the Law of Attraction is like a road in the dark, although we can only see the part of the road which is lightened by the headlights, we know it will finally lead to our destination, we just have to follow!

Do you visualize just in your mind or has anyone tried using vision boards?
Thanks!

Hi Gina,
I have been using visualization for quite some time now. I also have a vision board as well. The key to visualization is to plant a clear picture in the subconscious mind whether it is just an image in your mind or if it is on a vision board. Once you have done that it is important to be aware of the feeling you are having about it. The emotion that goes with that thought or image and the desire to have it, is what releases the energy. In turn the body will move into action and produce the result your looking for. You also need to be free of doubt. If you are thinking that you will never have it or you can't have it then you probably won't because you are creating a resistance to having it.

I was always reluctant to try it because of fear that I would visualize positive things happening but the outcome is still negative and then I just end up disappointing myself anyway. Therefore, to avoid disappointment, one pretends that failure does not affect them or they really were not that interested anyway in that job they applied for or that college they did not get accepted to. For me, I really want to get into teachers college. I did not get accepted the first round. My twin sister said to assume for now that I did not get in. However, should I visualize that I did get in or at least on the waiting list? I still have that hope and I don't care if it turns out that I did not even get on the waiting list. I still believe that some one will drop out and leave space for me to enter. Is that what is meant by visualization?
I like to think so! I also read "The Secret" that stuff really works! One morning I was late for work and had three minutes to catch the train.... and had to make a 7 minute car ride to the station. The entire time I kept saying "I am making this train... something will make me get on this train... I am already on the train" and just envisioned myself making it. When I got to the station, there were still hundreds of people waiting for the train... but no train was coming. I asked someone when it was coming and they told me it was delayed at the previous stop!
Coincidence? Well the SAME DAY I left my wallet on a tram in downtown Toronto and didn't notice it was gone until lunch time. I started to freak out, but then took action and kept saying to myself "I found my wallet already... someone reported it and I have my wallet". I went to the lost and found at the tram/train station (while I kept saying "I have my wallet already, don't worry! I am finding my wallet"). I asked the lady at the station and described my wallet to her and gave her my name, and she said there was nothing like that there. I started to get worried again, but refused to let those negative thoughts come into my head. I turned around and looked for other places I could go to find my wallet, until I heard my name being called back from the lady. "Liz??" "Yes!?" I turned around and she said "We found your wallet - someone turned it in at the police station." And there you have it ladies and gents... the Law of Attraction in action!
Sometimes I wonder if this all could be a coincidence... but I keep thinking that if I had thought negatively about the two situations, I would have not pushed myself to go get what I had visualized. If I visualized not having it, I would have not led myself into action. I truly believe what you think is what you become. I started to even get anxious for no reason (because sometimes I think I am a hypochondriac), but now I'm turning my nervousness into positive energy. Today I did yoga and repeated words to myself, like "I am a calm, relaxed and peaceful person. I visualize myself as happy and I really enjoy life to the fullest." After my yoga session I was laughing for no reason... I was just on a high! It's a lot better than being anxious for no reason, let me tell you. Seriously, I really believe in positive thinking and visualizing what you want. Positive thinking is way more powerful than negative thinking, so start thinking happy thoughts! Smile! Laugh! It will take you a long way

I've done this sort of thing. I have had social anxiety (social phobia) for ages and visualization does really help with that.
Like many negative thought (and feeling) patterns, social anxiety makes me give up on dreaming of a better life.
What I don't realize after while is, my imagination has become a casualty of my anxiety problem.
And the things is-- imagination or 'Dream Work" (in a positive sense) is also the way out of social anxiety.
Imagination is so powerful, it's a deep, creative and healing force, if I can only get out of it's way (often thats the problem, I am in the way).

I have just started visualising in the morning and at night for about 10 minutes a time. I was just wondering if it was ok to listen to music whilst i do it? The good feelings seem to be stronger and my visualizations seem to be a bit more fun if i do? I know that they will get stronger the more i do it, so should i just do it in silence or is the music not a problem?
Thanks
Try visualizing in silence and also while listening to music, and then decide what works better for you. If you choose to visualize while listening to music, the music should be quiet, background music that does not distract your attention.
As to myself, I always prefer to visualize or meditate in silence, without listening to music.
My experience is similar. If there is a music, it's really easy to wander of and fantasize (or fall aleep) instead of visualizing. Of course, trying both, and then deciding what is your "cup of tea", is the way to go.
Love,
Chris
