I am a novice when it comes to Creative Visualization. I am only twenty-four but feel like I have so many years of negativity built up it can consume me at times. I need some simple ways to break the habit in the middle of the day when I don't have the opportunity to meditate or take a break. I'm a school teacher so finding alone time is almost impossible. Any suggestions will help greatly. Thank you!
Hi there, I agree with Hani's response about the Sedona method. The book may be good reading for you to get an idea of the concept. A lot of people successfully use the technique and live much happier lives.
I would also suggest that you may want to consider "changing channels" when the negativity starts rising up. In other words,
choose to think of something that makes you
feel good - immediately. What is your favorite song? Your favorite color? Your favorite vacation? What makes you
feel good, that makes you smile? That is where you can go in your mind instantaneously and it will overtake the negativity.
All of the negative things that have happened to us in the past are gone now. The only way they can hurt us is if we continue to think about them and, thus, give them energy to stay alive. There is only ever right now. Try to remember to be in the moment - experience the moment, and the negative thoughts will have nowhere to go but fade away.
Also try to remember that we are all connected. The universe is energy - period. And we are all part of that energy. We are here to have fun and express ourselves in a joyous way. Try to recognize that everything you come into contact with is part of the energy that is part of you. Therefore, everything around us is beautiful and perfect. We just need to see with clearer eyes. Some people are still walking around in an unconscious state, but that's their journey. Your journey can be one of consciousness and awareness and pure love. Turn off the news and stay focused on what makes you feel good. Just start practicing it, and you'll become a pro in no time at all!
Another good book to read may be "The Power of Now" by Eckhart Tolle.
I hope this helps.

Hi,
I really struggle on how to visualise. I can't seem to visualise the images I want to and find it very frustrating. Any tips at all please ?
Malcolm
Hi Malcolm,
Something else to start working with is
feeling. You don't necessarily have to visualize every tiny detail of what it is you want. What is very important is how you feel when you are experiencing your vision. How do you feel? Working off of Hani's metahpor, how do you feel when you are looking at your house, living inside of your house, walking around it? Does it feel good? Imagine the end result - you are moving in to the home of your dreams! OMG, does it feel awesome!!! Get excited. Let yourself feel what you'll actually feel like when you live there. Touch the pieces of your house that you can see. Feel the wood beneath your skin. Feel the railing of the balcony. As Hani said, start imagining small pieces, whatever is important to you.
Keep in mind that the universe works in the ways that are best for you based on your vibrational input. So, if you feel good when you are imagining your new home, new job, new relationship, etc., the universe will start making it happen for you in a way that will make you feel good. If you feel nervous, that is what you will attract. If you don't believe it will work, it won't. So it's vital to focus only on what feels good and believe your subconscious mind and the universe will respond.
And you must be diligent. This is where a lot of people miss the boat. If you are committed to manifesting something in your life, then that means you must devote yourself 2-3 times a day for about 10-15 minutes imagining that which you want to manifest. These quiet times are crucial - for this is when you are communicating with your subconscious mind. You are giving it instructions as to what you want and it will obey you if you stay committed and believe.
A very good book to read on the subject is "The Power of Your Subconscious Mind" by Joseph Murphy.
Best wishes in your visualizing. The more we practice, the better we get!
