When experiencing inner peace, the mind is calm and relaxed, without restless thoughts.

Next time you experience a sense inner peace, be aware of what is going on in your mind. You will find that it is calm, without obsessing, restless thoughts, and without worries.

Sometimes, due to various factors, often external factors, the mind experiences peace. It can happen after you achieve a goal, you hear good news, or after solving a problem. For a little while, you feel happy and calm, with almost no thoughts in your mind. The question is how to make this peace permanent.

You need to train your mind to be calm and free of thoughts. This requires special training, time and some effort, but the rewards are great. Training yourself to experience inner peace brings many more rewards than just peace of mind. Your mental focus improves, your mind and intuition become sharper, and the ability to understand and comprehend increases.

Some of the steps toward inner peace are the development of concentration and the practice of meditation. I have also written a practical manual for attaining peace of mind and experiencing it in daily life.

RE: Welcome to the Peace of Mind - Inner Peace Forum!
superbpk,
You have asked a number of questions. I'll try to answer one or two.

re: the pet issue. This is a Law Of Attraction question. If you want to have a dog or cat, you need first to decide which one. Once you decide what you want (you should be as specific as possible - breed, color, sex, size, etc.), the rest of your attention should be on your feelings. Let's say you want a dog. Spend a little time focusing on HOW IT FEELS to have that dog. How does it FEEL to be walking it down the street, or throwing a ball for the dog to chase? How does it FEEL to introduce it to your friends? This is what you want to practice.

Do NOT put your attention on how you will receive the pet. It's not important how, and it's not your job to figure it out or worry about it. Your job is to focus on the good feelings you will have when you have it. Your parents might not buy it for you, but someone might give it to you. Or, maybe you'll get some money, and your parents will let you buy it for yourself. These are just examples of HOW it could happen, and why you shouldn't focus on that aspect. What's important for you is that it DOES happen, right?

Mind/body control is possible. You need to be willing to commit to a long-term (lifelong?) process to achieve it. It will not come overnight, or after a few sessions of meditation, so you will be better served to adjust your expectations accordingly. On the other hand, if you look back over your life, you can probably find examples of how you have already done what you are seeking to do now. Use those examples as evidence that you can do it, and as motivators to do the work. Meditation will be a major factor in achieving your goal, but you may also want to study martial arts or philosophy.

Hope that helps.
Tim

Thank you tstar for your explanation, I totally agree with you.

This is not the right place for this thread, so that if anyone wishes to continue with this thread, please post at the appropriate forum. This topic is more appropriate for the law of attraction or inner power forums.
