RE: What is Time Management?
It seems to me that the true value of time management comes when we learn to step off this treadmill of urgent activities and instead proactively choose to weave a life that aligns with our highest priorities. Time management is really life management. It goes far beyond just getting things done. It's really a tool to weave a life that you love.
I work as a professional coach and although there are a million time management systems out there, I like to combine the principles from the the Corporate Athlete System (which is about managing your energy), Stephen Covey's systems (which is about managing your priorities), and the Getting Things Done System (which is about triaging stuff and to-dos). Together these three form a pretty awesome time management system, but none of them alone is sufficient. If you're interested in learning how to combine these systems, I discuss this in depth on my site at the time management activities page.

RE: What is Time Management?

I have a favourite phrase when it comes to Time Management - 'we can't manage time, we can manage our attention'
I also notice that we're often pressurising ourselves along a path that doesn't suit us, without inspiration it's hard to get motivated and that's when we put things off.
Lack of Inspiration leads to lack of Motivation and a bucket full of Procrastination!
So, along our true path - one that suits our heart and our particular creative ability - we find inspiration and motivation and time takes care of itself.
Easy to say, but something we have to practice focussing on, just like working on a muscle at the gym.
PS This is my first post - Phew that's broken the ice!

RE: What is Time Management?
Thanks for the nice replies and posts,
But here I want to share my personal experience which worked for me, whenever I wake up early in the morning, around 4:00-5:00 am I can completely do whatever is in my "to do list", I don't know exactly why, but I feel that I have more energy during the day, and I don't get tired at all, so that I could work until midnight.
Another point which worked for me is that, I should not waste my time on TV and watching films and series, it is an absolute waste of time (for me).
So I suggest you to wake up early in the morning for one week and see the result.
Hugs,
