RSS feed - Really Simple Syndication, is a format used to distribute website content (headlines, summaries and links) directly to newsreaders. A newsreader is a program installed on your computer, which lets you view headlines from multiple sites, all in one place. In this way you can subscribe to different RSS feeds from different websites, and so be automatically informed whenever there is new content (RSS subscription does not require email address).
To access RSS feeds, you need to download a newsreader (also called rss reader). There are many free readers available, which you can find through any search engine. After installing the newsreader, you can add any feed by acting as follows:
1) Right-click on the orange "RSS" button next to the feed in which you are interested, and then click on "copy shortcut" in the menu that opens (sometimes the word 'XML' is used instead of 'RSS').
2) Paste the link you have copied into the newsreader.
By proceeding as above, you will be automatically subscribed to the feed. In this way you can subscribe to as many feeds as you like. You can always unsubscribe by removing the link from your newsreader.
If you add the RSS feeds displayed on this website, you will be automatically notified through your newsreader, whenever a new entry is posted on the blog or a new issue of our free ezine is published.
3) Internet Explorer 7 can detect feeds in a page, and enables you to subscribe to them without a newsreader. Just click on the
icon in the tool bar of your browser, and it will show you the available feeds. Click on the links and you will be directed to the relative feed, and from there you can subscribe to the feed.
