Smart Goal Setting

By Remez Sasson

Setting goalsThere are many writers, who write about the importance of setting goals. This raises the question, what if you don’t want anything in particular, and you are fully satisfied with your life as it is?

Most people don’t have big goals. They want to have enough money for their basic needs and a little more. That’s okay.

Some people want to accomplish big things, and others don’t, and that’s ok.

The truth is that our life is always goal oriented, even if we think that we have no goals.

Even if there is nothing you want, and you are satisfied with your life as it is, unconsciously, or unconsciously you are pursuing goals. Planning to go and see a see a movie, planning a birthday party, improving your grades at school, or baking a cake are all goals. You plan these goals and make the effort to accomplish them.

It’s around this time that you think to yourself: this is too difficult. I’m going to quit.

The Importance of Setting Goals

Importance of Goals

By Remez Sasson

It is important to have goals in your life. Coaches, motivators, and authors tell you that you have to set goals. There is a lot of talking about goals.

Are goals really so important?

Goals are important in the sense that they give you direction in life. The goal itself might be not so important, and when you achieve it, you might find that it doesn’t give you the satisfaction you expected.

Having more money and more possessions makes your life more comfortable, but this does not necessarily make you happier or more content.

However, having goals is like having a map. You know where you are heading, and this gives you zest, motivation and more energy. You become more alive.

Do you have goals? I don’t mean wishes. A real goal is not a wish. It is something, into which you will put all your efforts to achieve.

A goal does not have to be something big. Not everyone wants to achieve something big, on a major scale. Most people are satisfied with mediocre life, and that’s okay. But even if you don’t aim high, it’s good to have goals.

Goals don’t have to be major goals. Only a certain percentage of the population is really interested in major goals and is willing to do something to achieve them.

The Power of Mindset and Getting Your Body Healthy and Fit

By Sam Kappel

DumbellAs fitness professional, I know first hand, how important it is to be healthy and helping people achieve the health they desire. I also know how hard it can be to achieve some of our needs and wants. No matter what area of our lives, whether it’s fitness, financial or even relationships, roadblocks and challenges come along. Life challenges us everyday, and it is important to be mentally strong enough to overcome and solve these challenges. This is what helps us succeed as humans and stay on the right path towards our goals.

One of the things I have learned over the last 15 years being in the fitness world is to take baby steps and this is a journey, when it comes to getting what you need and desire.

The first thing I start with when I am coaching someone, who is trying to get the body they want, get their health freedom back or just lose a few pounds, is developing their mindset around it. Having the right mindset is by far the first thing you need to get in order, if you want to achieve the results and goals you have set for yourself.
