Oscar Wilde Quotes

Oscar Wilde (16 October 1854 – 30 November 1900) was an Irish poet and playwright.

After writing in different forms throughout the 1880s, in the early 1890s he became one of the most popular playwrights in London.

Wilde’s greatest talent was for writing plays. His first successful play was Lady Windermere’s Fan.

He produced popular comedies, including A Woman of No Importance (1893), An Ideal Husband (1895), and The Importance of Being Earnest (1895). These plays firmly established Oscar as a playwright.

Oscar Wilde is best remembered for his plays and for his novel, ‘The Picture of Dorian Gray’.
