A change of attitude changes the way they affect you. It is always advisable to learn, and to practise changing the attitude to a more positive one, and also learn to calm down the mind, but this needs to be done on a regular basis, and not only at the time when there are worries and problems. One needs to train himself, so he stays positive and calm in difficult times.</p>
<p>Suppose somebody who doesn&#8217;t know to swim falls into the water, and needs immediate help. You cannot start teaching him how to swim, but if he learned to swim before this event, there would have been no problem. It is the same with being free from anxiety and worry. When in the midst of a difficult time you can use some first aid to keep your head above the water, but to remain peaceful and calm, unaffected by problems and worries, you should have trained before that. </p>
<p><strong>Here are a few simple suggestions:</strong></p>
<p>- Engage in something interesting.</p>
<p>- When worried, try to be busy.</p>
<p>- Never lose hope.</p>
<p>- Analyze your worries: will they help you or waste your time and energy? Do you want them? What are they? They are just thoughts. If you keep thinking them they will grow and get stronger. Do you want that? No matter how difficult it might be, try to focus on solutions, not on problems.</p>
<p>- Visualize yourself free from the problem causing the worry, for example, visualize having a job or money at the bank.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Some time ago I received an email, in which someone asked me whether it is possible to visualize world peace.</p>
<p>It would be a great thing to visualize world peace. Any positive thought projected into the atmosphere of the planet is beneficial. This energy is not wasted and has its affect on the world, but as long as most of the population does not think on world peace or visualize it, and does not desire it strongly enough, one person&#8217;s thoughts are not strong enough to affect the entire world. Just think how much positive thought power can one person generate, compared to the total negative thinking of the entire planet! On the other hand, if a large group of people thinks and concentrates on world peace, the total power generated by them is stronger, than the power generated by one individual.</p>
<p>You have to take into account the fact that opposing thoughts can weaken or even neutralize other thoughts. The total strength of any power is dependent on the power generated, less any other power that opposes it. If one person visualizes world peace for half an hour a day, and billions of other people think the opposite or just don&#8217;t believe that peace is possible, the power generated would be quite small and not very effective.</p>

<p>It would be wiser and more effective, if you first create peace in your own life, because when you have peace, your peace affects the world and people around you. If you attain inner peace through such methods as positive thinking, visualization, concentration, meditation and a few other techniques, you will be in a better position to bring peace to the world, even if it means only the world around you, your family, friends, neighbors and colleagues.</p>
<p>By learning to calm down your restless and anxious thinking and impose peace on your mind, you will be less affected by anxieties, worries and negative thinking, and you attain real inner peace, independent or external circumstances. This kind of peace can have a strong affect on your environment and on anyone who comes in contact with you.</p>
<p>Visualization is a great tool. Visualize world peace, this energy is never wasted, but you also need to work on other levels too, in order to secure real and more lasting results. To bring peace into the world, you first need to bring it into your own life. How can you can produce peace, if you don&#8217;t live in peace, don&#8217;t know what it is, and if you are easily irritated, get angry quickly or have fears and worries? You first need to taste it your self and have it in your world, before being able to affect the world.</p>
