Think and analyze your goal, and find out whether you really want to achieve it. Ask yourself whether it is worth your effort and time. Maybe you don’t really want it.
If after thinking about your goal, you realize that you do not really care about it, it would be difficult to be motivated. Why should you do something that you do not want?
You need to find something that you really want to achieve, and which is important to you. It is easier to become motivated and stay motivated, when you are sure about what you want.
2. You need to know exactly what you want
Make your goal very clear. Writing it down will help you describe it in clear and concise words. The more specific it is, the easier it would be to focus on it and get yourself motivated to accomplish it.
3. Think about the benefits of accomplishing your goal
Think often about your goal or desire, about its benefits, and how your life will look like after accomplishing it. This will awaken your emotions, which supply the driving force and the enthusiasm to pursue your goal.
4. Use your imagination
Visualize your goal as already accomplished, and shut your mind to doubts and disbelief.
Visualize how your life would be after getting what you want. Imagine how you would feel after achieving your goal.
True, it might not be easy, as doubts and disbelief will probably try to occupy your mind. However, with persistence, you can teach your mind to stay away from doubts, or least ignore them.
5. Make workable plans
Plan small steps that are easy to follow, and insist on taking at least one step a day. This will increase your confidence, and make you believe that big goal is within your reach.
Small steps are like small goals. When you realize a one step as doable, it would be easier to continue with more steps and keep up the motivation and enthusiasm.
Read books and articles about the topic of your goal. They will keep your mind directed toward your goal and focused on it.
7. Read about successful people
Read about people who have achieved success. This would inspire you to emulate them and do what they did.
You can find books, articles and videos about them, by searching for them on the Internet.

Read inspiring quotes related to the topic of your goal. I suggest that you read a few in the morning and again at night, before you go to sleep. You can also read them at any other time of the day.

Exercising your body, at least a few times a week, will keep your energy level high. This will not only improve your health, but will make you more alive, energetic and enthusiastic.

13. Keep your desire and feelings alive
Strive to keep the desire, enthusiasm and zest constantly alive. Think of everything that can keep the flame alive within you.
14. Strengthen your willpower and self-discipline
Sometimes, you will need to carry out some important tasks, which you might not like doing.
This often awakens inner resistance, and therefore, you might find it difficult to muster enough motivation. At times such as these, you need to have enough willpower and self-discipline.

15. What to do if you find it difficult to awaken enthusiasm

You will need to think and find out if the reason is laziness and lack of energy, or that you don’t really care about this goal, and it would be better to stop agonizing that you are not doing anything to accomplish it.
It is possible that you don’t really care about this goal, and therefore, it would be better to seek something else.
