Clarity of Purpose and How to Attain It

Clarity of Purpose

“There is one quality that one must possess to win, and that is definiteness of purpose, the knowledge of what one wants, and a burning desire to possess it.”
– Napoleon Hill

Clarity of purpose is vital for the achievement of success and for making dreams come true.

It is one of the pillars of achieving plans and accomplishing success.

What Does Clarity of Purpose Mean?

It means knowing exactly what you want – not something unclear and vague but a complete, clear, and detailed goal. You can get what you want only when you know what it is.

You might only achieve your goal if it is clear enough or you get something close but not what you meant to have.
Your dream or goal must be specific, clear, and not vague.

While it’s fun to daydream about being wealthy and successful, you have to know and define clearly what you want to get or achieve.

Clarity of purpose is essential for every kind of success, for losing weight, getting a new car, or traveling abroad. How can you achieve a goal if you don’t know precisely what this goal is?

When there is clarity of purpose, you know what steps to take.

With clarity of purpose, you focus on the goal without wasting time or energy. Clarity of purpose is like focusing a strong light source on your goal, so you see it clearly.

How to Attaining Clarity of Purpose

  1. Find out what you exactly want.
  2. Write down on paper what you want to achieve.
  3. Investigate why you want to achieve your goal and what you will gain.
  4. Be certain that you really want to achieve your goal.
  5. Read and learn about your goal. If it requires some knowledge and skills, be sure to find this knowledge and develop those skills.
  6. Collect pictures about your goals, such as a photo of the car or house you want, the job you wish to have, or photos of the country you want to visit. Look at these photos every day.
  7. In order to manifest your goal visualize it clearly.
  8. In your mind, see all the details.
  9. Be specific as to color, size, quantity, shape, place, etc., of what you want to get or accomplish.
  10. Learn to focus your mind on your goal.
  11. Remove clutter from your life.
  12. Display perseverance and some self discipline in your everyday life.

Always be clear about what you plan, want to do, and want to achieve. This include small, everyday actions, medium goals and big goals.

In my book, Manifest and Achieve Whatever You Want, you can find all the steps to specify your goal, and then achieve it.
