These are a combination of strategies that have been working very well for me. You don’t have to do all of them. One or two may match you better than others, so choose the one that is most appealing to you and give it a try.
If what you try doesn’t work, try another method and find the perfect action to build your confidence.
Here are the 7 actions:
1. Improve Ability
How can you increase your confidence and Improve this ability? And how do you do it?
- Dare to make a commitment and move on.
- Just do it small parts at first. For example, if you want to be a more capable speaker, don’t try to speak in front of 100 people on your first attempt.
- Talk at a small networking event. Record some short videos.
- Talk to a small group of close friends and colleagues on topics you are familiar with.
- For example, set aside 15 minutes to practice speaking. That way, practice will improve your ability.
The gradual improvement will increase your confidence.
2. Use the Past as a Guide

Imagine when you did something but were scared at first. What lessons can you learn? How confident were you when you achieved that?
- If you have multiple examples of ways you overcame fear, you may find patterns in the development of courage that you can use to overcome the current challenges that scare you.

Be more aware of your self-talk and your thoughts about yourself and what you are doing.
If you have a particular topic of negative self-talk, move away from that idea and ask yourself, “Why you are thinking about it?” “Is there a way to look at this more positively?”
- If you find negative self-talk, try replacing that idea with a positive one.
- If you think you’re far from achieving your goals, stop thinking and think again. Instead, think about how far you are from where you started.

6. Understand your Unique Strengths
- Your confidence is at a high level when you spend your time doing what you love and when doing great things.
- Doing things that make you bored and annoyed can reduce your energy.
- Spend your time understanding your strengths, and then spend more time doing what you can to use those strengths.
7. Celebrate Achievements Every Day
- Achieving what is important to us builds confidence.
- However, we often cannot recognize and celebrate every small victory we achieve every day.
- At the end of each day, write down three things you have achieved or are grateful for.
- This simple habit of celebrating achievements is one of the best practices for building confidence daily.

- The key to this transformation is to understand yourself and your thoughts.
