What are the advantages of being a morning person?

Some people feel more productive at night, but I am not going to talk about them now. I am going to talk about morning people, who are more productive in the mornings.

I like the early morning hours. I find them more productive and pleasurable. At this time of the day, it is quieter, and there are almost no external disturbances or noises, and you can feel the positive energy of the early morning.

Being a morning person, you manage to do a few things in the morning, before going to work, and this makes you feel great.

A Morning Person Starts the Day with important Activities

It is so easy to waste the morning on checking your email, talking, and doing all kind of small or meaningless activities that lead to nothing.

Getting busy with unimportant maters first thing in the morning leaves no energy and motivation for greater things. How you start you day sets the mood, motivation and attitude for the rest of the day.

It is more satisfying to start the day with a few important matters, tasks or goals. While other people have hardly started their day, you have already accomplished much.

What to do in the morning?

Here are a few things morning people do. If you wonder how to become a morning person, follow the activities mentioned below.

You may use an alarm clock at first, and in time, your internal clock will wake you on time. Put the alarm clock a little far, to avoid hitting the snooze button and silencing it.

  1. Wake up and get out of bed, earlier than usual, before your family wakes up.
  2. Start the day with a positive attitude
  3. Start your day repeating positive affirmations.
  4. Read a few pages of an inspiring book
  5. Take a walk in the fresh air.
  6. Take a walk in the park.
  7. Go to the gym to exercise.
  8. Write a few pages of a book.
  9. Learn a few words of a foreign language.
  10. Devote some time to practicing meditation.
  11. Study for an exam.
  12. Cook dinner.
  13. Work on your goals.
  14. Eat a good and healthy breakfast.

Always do something that gives you satisfaction and contributes to your sense of happiness. You will then feel happy and satisfied for the rest of the day.

Being busy, and spending a lot of energy, does not necessarily take you forward and help you arrive anywhere. Most often, it is like sitting on a merry-go-round that just goes in circles.

Success requires that you get off this merry-go-round and start moving forward not in circles.

Accomplishing a few things in the morning makes you feel good and proud, and you will continue feeling so for the rest of the day. This feeling would also motivate you to do more and better things during the day.

It is easier to do some unpleasant tasks in the morning, than latter, when there are distractions, laziness or tiredness. It is preferable to do in the morning the unpleasant tasks and the things that require more attention, willpower and discipline.

If you start your day answering emails, texting, and looking at your Facebook, you are far more likely to lose focus and waste energy.

It is much healthier to use those precious first moments of the day to do something relaxing, or something that improves your life. This would create a positive mood for your day.

Morning people usually, wake up early in the morning, so they can do a few important things.

Usually, the mind is more calm and relaxed in the morning, after a good night’s sleep, and the focus is better, so why not take advantage of these early hours?

The things you do in the morning don’t have to be “big things”. These could be small things, which give you a sense of happiness, satisfaction and accomplishment.

Yes, you might need, at least in the beginning, a certain degree of willpower, self-discipline and motivation, but they are not hard to get. There are simple ways to develop these skills, and with a little training, you will soon see results.

Some people, are more productive at night. They venture deep into the night, and they go to sleep late. This means that they either don’t have enough sleep at night, or have to get up really late in the morning.

Well, some people are morning people, and some are night people. In this article, I wanted to focus on the morning people, what they do, and the benefits of getting up early in the morning.

It is a great pleasure and an empowering feeling to be an early bird, see the rising sun, and enjoy the pleasant natural light of the morning.

Don’t forget, sleep is important, and if you wake up early you need to shift your sleep hours a little earlier at night. You need to make some changes to your sleep schedule.
