7 Ways to Attract Positive Energy

Positive Energy

Being in a place of negativity stops you from progressing in life. There are likely to be several reasons to why you find yourself in a place of darkness.

When you make the decision to pull yourself out of it, you will realize that most of your problems have a clear solution to them.

Sometimes, when we find ourselves in a negative spot, everything is made worse by us not tackling it the right way. Having a positive approach can help us combat the toughest problems life throws at us; you just need to immerse yourself in positive energy.

Ways to Attract Positive Energy

Here are few ways you can attract positive energy:

1. Begin your Day at Peace – Meditation

You don’t need to become a full-time yogi to reap the benefits of meditation.

The purpose of meditation is to help you gain consciousness of your surroundings, gain control of your thoughts and be able to cancel out all the white noise that interrupts your daily activities.

People get caught up in the negativity that resides in their brains. This negativity builds up and begins interfering in your activities as you go about your day.

Through meditation you learn to block out all the negativity that builds up in your head and focus on what you can actually control.

Every morning, get yourself in a quiet place where you can organize your thoughts through simple breathing techniques and learn to achieve inner peace.

2. Start Your Day with a Burst of Positivity

Find a way that lifts up your spirits. This can be anything from a Zumba class first thing in the morning to listening to some uplifting music as you get dressed for work.

It just needs to be something that helps you approach the day feeling positive.

Build yourself a playlist of songs that bring a smile to your face and make you feel pumped. For many people these will be songs that they grew up with.

Nostalgia has a way of making you feel happier so it’s a good idea to start filling your playlist with songs from the past.

3. Do Unto Others as You Would Have Them Do Unto You

To avoid being mistreated by people, it is best that you treat them right. Don’t throw unnecessary tantrums. If there is a way of resolving conflict in a calm manner then do so.

Getting worked up over small things only leaves you feeling agitated and tensed. Most fights are not worth having. An argument is only worth it when something positive surfaces as the result.

Choose the high road when you can. If you do get yourself into a quarrel with a colleague or a friend, then don’t let it dictate other aspects of your life. Treat it as an isolated incident that shouldn’t impact other parts of your life.

4. Accept that not Everything Can Be Controlled

Too much anxiousness is caused by situations we have no control over. In life, you are always going to be faced with situations where you will find yourself feeling helpless.

If you know that you’ve exhausted all resources and now there is nothing you can do to better the situation, then it’s time to accept it and work to move forward.

At some point you have to realize that there is no point obsessing over something you have no control over.

If you don’t, you’re risking getting stuck in life. You risk being despondent for too long which can then lead to depression.

5. Take Pride in Yourself

When you feel better about yourself, your outlook towards the world changes too. Feeling good about yourself doesn’t just happen, you need to consciously remind yourself of who you are and all your capabilities.

If you are someone who is drowning in inner toxicity and constantly self-loathing, you’re bound to be a Debbie Downer in every room you enter.

On the other hand, if you choose to make yourself feel better, whether it’s exercising regularly or upping your style game, you’ll experience a change in how you perceive the world and approach life.

Exercising regularly will release a dose of endorphins in your body that would keep you in good spirits. You don’t have to be a fashionista to feel good about yourself, but keep stylish wardrobe basics in your closet so you don’t look and feel like a slob.

6. Look for Positivity in Situations

Although it is not always easy, learn to look for the silver lining in every situation you find yourself in.

When you are persistently looking for the good in every situation, you’ll give yourself that boost of positivity that you need, to better manage it.

Looking for positive outcomes in a negative situation serves as a coping mechanism which helps you handle the tougher moments in life.

7. Envision Your Goals

Nothing is more motivational than when you envision your goals. Setting yourself goals gives you something to work for. The moment you begin imagining them manifest, you work that much harder for them.
